Having lost the Sydney seat of Lowe in a by-election and suffering big swings against in the W.A. election, perhaps it's not the best time for Ian Viner, the Minister for Industrial Relations in the Fraser Government, to be invoking the stand-down provisions in C.E.E.P, (the Commonwealth Employees (Employment Provisions) Act), providing for the suspension of government employees engaged in industrial action, in this case, striking teachers in Canberra's schools.--Information provided by Geoff Pryor
